Shooting in Nairobi shopping mall injures at least two -witnesses

Shooting involving several gunmen in a shopping mall in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, injured at least two people, witnesses said on Saturday.

"There's been shooting in there," said one man as he ran out of the Westgate shopping mall in the Westlands district.

Five people reported injured. People around the area are advised to stay safe as police are involved in a rescue operation. Red cross reported on the ground to help the injured.

The Aga Khan has reported admitting 19 people who are injured.

The red cross has confirmed 30 people dead and over 60 injured. Rescue operation still underway. The vice president has issued condolences. Big stores are closing in Nairobi as a precautionary measure.

Operation still underway. Currently 1st and 2nd floor of the mall is secured. Over 1000 people have been rescued. Donate blood at Uhuru park or other centers throughout the country. People in the diaspora who want to help can visit the Redcross Kenya website
