Not every computer comes with an application to extract Rar files. Rar files are compressed files. There are several advantages on why you should compress your files.

For one compression reduces file size. This means that files can be easily sent over the internet in compressed format. Many files can also be compressed to save on disk space.

If you have a rar file and you would like to extract the files but you do not have a program like Winrar or even Winzip, you can extract the files using a free online tool called Wobzip.

Click here to access the tool.

The best thing about it is that it is absolutely free.

General Discussion / How to Post Links at Kenyan Best Forum
« on: June 11, 2012, 10:09:08 AM »
We at Kenyan best forum value you as a user. That is why we have taken measures to protect you from spammers who will make your user experience here hell.

You therefore need to be an active member to post links. Spammers just want to post links and not add value to this site. We therefore only allow people who have made at least 15posts to show links. They will appear as non-active. After the 50th post, your links will become active and click able.

Don't spam, this will only get you banned. This forum is moderated by overworked humans, not bots. Be an active member, welcoming others, starting posts, replying to posts and more. You will be surprised by how easy it is to reach the minimum post count for your links to start showing.

Speaking of links, you would get a better response to your advert if you took some time to tell people about what you are advertising. Nobody is blindly going to click links just because you posted them. Take sometime to write at least a 100 post article telling people about what you are advertising and maybe you can convince them to click your link. Google will also show you love for this.

I hope you will comply with this measures and more that we take to make this forum the best ever!

Career Advice / Career Tips for College Students-2012
« on: May 02, 2012, 04:12:02 PM »
There are so many students who are worried about how they will end up after college. Our education system doesn't provide us with much to think of as getting or creating jobs is concerned. Here are some tips to get you a job

Have a Good CV-Have somebody who has a better job experience have a look at your Cv and tell you how you can perfect it. After doing the process for a long time say like 20 times, you will have the know how on how to write a winning CV.

Know and Have What it Takes to Win-Don't just copy and paste from the internet. Different jobs have different requirements and job expectations. The whole of your resume should be tailored specifically for the job you are looking for. Do some research on the field you are interested in.

Networking is Very Important-Each and every person you know should have a knowledge of the kind of job you are looking for. Usually, it is not the smartest students who get jobs, it is mostly the students who know how to network.

Patience is Key, Persistence is Even Better-A whole year after campus and you have gotten no job? Don't worry, some people have it worse. The best thing to have in mind is that persistence will change your situation, giving up won't. Do your job search slowly. Don't send 100 copy and paste letters to organizations. A good idea would be to do like 4 or 5 very quality letters that you have done lots of thorough research on.

First Impressions Will Always Count-Having some really good grades is not good enough. It is just the start. Look the interviewer straight to the eye. Don't be shy, be confident.

Practice Makes Perfect
- Practice possible question while you are alone. You can even get somebody you respect to mock-interview you. Communication skills will always get better with practice. Network with other people in your career. Attend career fairs and be active.

Strive to be the best you can ever be.

For those not in the know, KBO stands for Kenya Businesses Online. It is a project by Google to get Kenya businesses online. For many years business owners have lacked the expertise and funds to have their businesses online. There are many advantages that come with having a business website. For one it drives lots of customers to you. I know that I Google for anything I don't know and everything I need. It is therefore only fair to suggest that if you don't have a website for your business you are losing a lot. Get one, it costs absolutely nothing with

I have noticed that KBO webistes are ranked rather quickly. I wouldn't be surprised considering Google are part of the project. Websites that have very few links are showing up at the top of search results.

If you have a website I would suggest that you get a free website and benefit from the free traffic from Google love! I am sure Google shows some love to their products. It is common knowledge that blogger blogs rank easily than others!

Vice president Kalonzo Musyoka said on sunday that DPM Uhuru Kenyatta and MP Ruto should vie for the presidency despite having pending cases at the International Criminal Court.

He Said, “Let the playing ground in the next presidential contest be even. We should not block individuals because of the ICC trials at The Hague.”

He said that that the top organs were doing all they can to ensure that the two were allowed to run for presidency come the next general election. The two may be locked out of the race as their trials may coincide with the general elections come March.

He was speaking at Machakos Technical Grounds during the installation and consecration of Archbishop Reverend Timothy Ndambuki of the African Brotherhood Church.

Local Celebrities / Mercy Myra for A Comeback
« on: April 03, 2012, 06:14:50 PM »
She hasn't released anything yet but songstress Mercy Myra is slated for a big comeback. She is said to have shot a music video over the weekend for her new single 'African Tango'.

Here is a photo from the scenes of the music

She says the music video is going to be awesome . She says of it “off the meter and a massive blessing filled with loads of love with all who came through and or participated.”

In a move seen as a major political blow to Raila's quest for the presidency, little-known councillor Omondi Odinga has invited Raila's biggest rivals and fiercest critics DPM Uhuru Kenyatta and MP William Ruto to their Bondo home.

Omondi goes to confirm that the two are personal friends and will be attending the event as planned. Following the same, sources reveal that there was a 'family crisis meeting' in which Raila warned his half brother to be wary of politicians who were out to use him.

Omondi's move is already causing excitement at the G7 camp. Joshua Kuttuny, an ardent supporter of William Ruto was quoted as saying, "This is a warning shot to those who thought Nyanza is politically impenetrable. We now have a footing in the region, including within Raila’s own homestead."

When asked whether his elder brother PM Raila Odinga was comfortable with the visit, he was evasive, "Naturally my decision took family members by surprise. But we have since met under the watch of elders and discussed the matter and I believe I now have the nod to proceed (with the planned visit)".

Omondi Odinga is eying the Kisumu Town and vowed to seek the seat on another party's ticket should hurdles be thrown on his way.

Will this sibling rivalry cost Raila a lot or is Omondi Odinga courting a political catastrophe for himself?

Three men, a philosopher, a mathematician and an idiot, were out riding in the car when it crashed into a tree. Before anyone knows it, the three men found themselves standing before the pearly gates of Heaven, where St. Peter and the Devil were standing nearby.

"Gentlemen," the Devil started, "Due to the fact that Heaven is now overcrowded, therefore St. Peter has agreed to limit the number of people entering Heaven. If anyone of you can ask me a question which I don't know or cannot answer, then you're worthy enough to go to Heaven; if not, then you'll come with me to Hell."

The philosopher then stepped up, "OK, give me the most comprehensive report on Socrates' teachings."

With a snap of his finger, a stack of paper appeared next to the Devil. The philosopher read it and concluded it was correct.

"Then, go to Hell!"
With another snap of his finger, the philosopher disappeared.

The mathematician then asked, "Give me the most complicated formula you can ever think of!"

With a snap of his finger, another stack of paper appeared next to the Devil. The mathematician read it and reluctantly agreed it was correct.

"Then, go to Hell!"
With another snap of his finger, the mathematician disappeared, too.

The idiot then stepped forward and said, "Bring me a chair!"

The Devil brought forward a chair.

"Drill 7 holes on the seat", said the Idiot.

The Devil did just that.

The idiot then sat on the chair and let out a very loud fart. Standing up, he asked, "Which hole did my fart come out from?"

The Devil inspected the seat and said, "The third hole from the right."

"Wrong," said the idiot, "it's from my asshole."

And the idiot went to Heaven.

For the first time in its history the ICC has convicted somebody. Thomas Lubanga a Congolese warlord has been found guilty of recruiting child soldiers.

Showing no remorse as the charges were read out by judge Adrian Fulford, Lubanga listened as he was convicted of snatching children from the street and turning them into ruthless murderers. He now faces the possibility of a maximum life sentence.

Back at home the Human Rights Watch(HRW) welcomed the ruling terming it as well deserved and an example to countries that have denied justice to victims of war and viuolence.

Human Rights Watch Researcher for Africa Division Neela Ghoshal  said that it gives a direction our country Kenya is likely to follow in giving justice to the post election violence victims of 2008.

“When victims do not have a place to seek for justice within their country, there is an option to seek justice and that is what happened with Lubanga’s case,”  she was quoted.

Lubanga was arrested back in 2006 and his trial started in January 2009. Lubanga pleaded innocence to the charges placed before him.

His conviction should send a warning to other war rebels like Joseph Kony of the Lord's Resistance Army who should be captured and brought to justice.
